Third Announcement

What do we gain from co-hosting of conferences?
The power of collaboration is all around us. The collaboration of doctors with engineers has yielded innumerable medical devices including the omnipresent intraocular lenses that we commonly use today. Collaboration is defined as “working with each other to do a task and to achieve shared goals”. The goal with the co-hosting of the All Gujarat Ophthalmic Conference (AGOC) with the Oculoplastics Association of India (OPAI) conference is to collaborate and achieve the ultimate common goal of better treatment for our patients.

Time is a luxury that a doctor these days hardly has. A lot of CMEs and conferences are happening all over the country. With their dates frequently clashing, it is almost impossible to attend all of them. It is here that a combined conference helps in bringing back sanity to this chaotic situation. A state conference being co-hosted with a specialty national conference brings sound and specialized knowledge at the doorstep of the general ophthalmologist. Organisation of conferences has become a costly affair. This burden to the organizers is passed on to the sponsors who in turn pass it on to the end users i.e. the doctor and their patients. Co-hosting breaks this vicious circle and creates a win-win situation for the organisers, sponsors as well as the attending delegates. Combined conferences are therefore the definite future.
We have thought ahead of time and have taken the responsibility of co-hosting this unique amalgamation of the AGOC with OPAI. For this, we ask for your support and encouragement in making this event spectacular and a grand success.
